Cancellations, Returns & Refunds


  1. Plantlane takes pride in being a responsible marketplace which equally loves its buyers and sellers. We will not only protect right of buyers to get product as promised by seller, but we will also stand up for sellers right to be compensated against careless ordering.
  2. So if you as buyer have received a defective product, then you are 100% entitled to replacement or return for full refund amount within the return period. But if you want to return a good product which is not useful for your purpose, then you will have to bear cost of reverse shipping + transaction related charges
  3. Order Id and other details given in this form must match with information submitted at time of placing order. No intimation shall be provided or follow-up will be done for requests received with incorrect details. Such requests shall be considered as "No Request Received".
  4. We must receive a "Valid Request" within the return time period in order to accept it. All return requests are processed on a case-to-case basis.

Policy Terms

What is the Return policy period?

The standard return period is of 5 days from the date of delivery for filing a return request except unless stated otherwise on Product Page under Selling Terms. Kindly check the respective product's return/replacement policy on the product page.

Please note that products that are received as broken or damaged in transit must be reported in 48 hours from time of delivery, failing which they would not be eligible for return.

Some products are not eligible for return unless received as defective by the buyer. Service & Live Consultation providers are not included under Return & Cancellation Policy.

How does Plantlane help in resolving any issue with a product purchased on Plantlane?

If you're facing any issues with a product purchased on Plantlane, we shall help by verifying and trying to resolve your product issue as part of the return verification process. The issue resolution steps will be shared with you as self-help, or with assistance over call or a Plantlane personnel or seller’s personnel may visit your place. If the return request is genuine, then seller will arrange for a replacement if the issue has not been resolved. In case the item is not in stock or has been permanently discontinued, the refund for the entire product or part(s) of the product will be provided by the seller.

How do I return an item purchased on Plantlane?

  • Create a Return Request
  • Click on the “Return Request” link given in website footer area and fill up the return request form. You maybe asked to provide photos of the product prior to acceptance of your return request.

  • 'Item to be Returned' is picked up
  • Normally, the item you wish to return will be picked up from your doorstep. You will asked to print the return shipping label and paste it on the outside of the parcel box before handing over to the courier. In case such reverse pickup is not possible, then you may be asked to courier the returnable product to the address provided to you. Suitable reimbursement shall be made to you for such courier charges. 

  • Refund Initiated
  • The refund is initiated after the seller receives the returned product in it’s original re-sellable condition. While returning the item, please ensure: 
    • Only the correct and complete product is handed over as mentioned in return request
    • The product should be in unused, undamaged and original condition
    • Returned product should include everything from the originally delivered package including price tags, labels, original packaging, free gifts and accessories
    • Product should be packed properly and securely to ensure it does not break or gets damaged in return courier journey. Refund will not be issued if the product breaks or gets damaged due to improper packing of returned products by buyer.

    When are returns not possible?

    • Return request is made outside the specified time frame.
    • Product is not a returnable product.
    • Return request is rejected since the product has been used or damaged by buyer, or the product is not in its original condition.

    When are refunds not possible or only partial refund is allowed?

    • Product is received as broken by the seller as it was not packed properly and securely by buyer
    • If anything is missing from the package such as including price tags, labels, original packing, freebies and accessories
    • Packing of product has been opened or product has been used in a manner which makes it unfit for subsequent re-sale as an original unused product.
    • Any other reason which makes it unfit for subsequent re-sale in original condition.
    • Where buyer returns a product which was ordered casually (or carelessly), the refund shall be made after deducting reverse shipment charges, payment gateway charges  and other similar charges. A product shall deemed to be ordered casually or carelessly where buyer has ordered without understanding the product description, it’s technical data or it’s weight or size related information. In case any information given on product page is not understood, then we encourage the buyer to ask for clarification on chat or email or phone.

    I've still not received the refund to my bank account. Why?

    If you have received a mail from us confirming your refund request then rest assured that we have initiated your refund request and are following up with financial organisations for the same. 

    Sometimes financial organizations take a longer time to process the refund request. However, if the refund hasn't happened by the date we promised, you can contact us. We will gladly help you.

    I have changed my mind and would like to retain the product. What should I do?

    Please call us to cancel your return request and we will do the needful. 

    How do I cancel an order?

    You can cancel your order online before the product has been shipped. Your entire order amount will be refunded.

    In case the item you have ordered has been shipped but has not yet been delivered to you, you may still cancel the order online. Do not receive the product in case the delivery is attempted for such cancelled order. Your refund will be processed once the seller receive the originally ordered item back from the courier after adjusting shipping costs incurred.

    Unfortunately, an order cannot be cancelled once the item has been delivered to you. You can only request for return.

    How long will it take to process my cancellation request?

    Once you request the cancellation of item(s) in your order, it will take us a of 3-4 business days to process the request. You will be notified of the same by email.
